Bilal Morton was recently appointed by the City of New Iberia as new Port Commission member replacing E. R. “Smitty” Smith III. A native of New Iberia, Morton has a Business Degree and is currently a business analyst. He held multiple leadership positions throughout his college career. He has more than the basic knowledge of the Port of Iberia and its industries through his father who has worked for a Port business for more than 25 years. “I’m excited to join the Port Board of Commissioners,” stated Morton. “I look forward to working with the Commission on the deepening of the AGMAC project and help grow the Port of Iberia.”
